Please note: Your completed application and all required documents must be received no later than four weeks prior to trip departure.

Eligibility

• Jewish resident of metropolitan Detroit (Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties)
• Ages 13–26
• First-time organized peer trip or educational program
• Program duration: one year or less
• Program must be a recognized Israel or overseas program approved by Federation’s Israel & Overseas Department.
• Not eligible: JFD-subsidized trips (Taglit Birthright Israel, NEXTGen Detroit and Teen Mission) or previous Get There! recipients. Programs offered by out-of-state schools that include a trip to Israel are also not eligible for Incentive Grant funding.
• Applications may be considered for longer trips, repeat participants and applicants up to age 28, subject to funding availability

  Application Process

1. Complete this Get There! Ben Teitel Incentive Grant application
2. Notification of grant determination will be sent by email from Federation’s Israel & Overseas Department
3. Grants will be made payable to the program and mailed directly to the institution
4. An applicant/parent gift of at least $18 per year to the Jewish Federation of Detroit is suggested
5. Please submit a trip summary within three weeks of your return

All application materials will remain confidential.
Applicants are encouraged to explore other funding sources.
